Often referred to as “Africa condensed”, Uganda has the best of everything the continent has to offer, packed into one small, but stunning, country. This means you can drive between almost all the country’s top highlights in less than half a day. By East African standards, the road conditions throughout the country are really good – and ever improving, as major roadwork programs are being implemented. All the primary roads radiating out of the capital, Kampala, are asphalted.

Roadtrip Uganda takes the lead in catering to the independent traveler, with comprehensive self-drive car hire services. We believe Roadtrippin’ at your own pace is the best way to experience Uganda’s beautiful landscapes, abundant wildlife and diverse cultures.

When renting a Roadtrip vehicle from us, you can be sure that it comes with a big dose of insider tips; we love Uganda, and we love to share where we like to go on our Roadtrips!
